Santa!

We took the girls to see Santa at a fun Christmas party Jake's work put on! Just as expected, they HATED HIM!! We attempted earlier in the month and the girls, especially Sadie went into full body convulsions just at the sight of Santa! So we have been talking him up, and when you ask them what Santa says they say Ho! Ho! Ho!! But as you will see from the picture, again he was not a hit! Maybe we will have better luck next year!! It was still worth going, it was a great party! They had fun balloon artists, little games, cookie decorating, and Breakfast.

Samantha - the balloons are flowers if your not sure!

Dolls!

I just thought I would post a few cute pictures of the girls playing with their dolls! They have started playing with them a lot more the last month or two. I love how they just started carrying them around and saying "Ahhh, Baby". The video is trying to capture the cute saying!
Sadie is in grey, and Samantha is in pink.

Jake's Birthday!

It was Jake's Birthday on Sunday! I am so glad there is a day to celebrate Jake! He is such an awesome husband, and a great friend to me! And such a fun, cute Dad to the girls! We had a great time celebrating! This was my first attempt at being a cake decorator! Let's just say I won't be starting a business anytime soon! Hopefully practice will eventually make perfect! It is just funny how you have something envisioned in your head and then the finished product looked quite a bit different! Oh Well, I think it turned out good enough that you should be able to tell it is a Ute Jersey! Thanks to the Utes for winning the big game on Saturday, any of you that know Jake will realize that them winning was Present Enough!!!

They love waking Daddy up in the morning! Sam standing.

The girls are showing off their newest trick! They have discovered that they can climb up on our tall kitchen table chairs! Although it is entertaining to see them be so proud of their new accomplishment, it sure makes things more interesting!! Goodbye Tablerunner with Centerpiece! Sadie left, Samantha right.

I just have to give credit to my cute husband, for my "Just Because" flowers! It meant so much to me! I think Jake was actually missing Paris! (Like he does atleast once a day!) And remembered how we loved to buy fresh flowers from the cute little shops right by our flat! Fun Memories!

I have received requests to post more video of the girls! I'm glad you enjoy them as much as we do! I have to apologize in advance for my horrible rendition of Ring around the Rosy!

Halloween Etc.

We had a fun time celebrating Halloween! We tried to get the girls to say "Trick-or-Treat", but we ended up settling for a "Boo" instead! These first pictures are from a fun party they held at Jake's work, they went all out! There were fun little crafts to make, cookie decorating, balloon animals, a spiderweb catch (aka fish pond), good food and a huge trick or treating set up!

We also hit up our old ward's trunk or treat! It was so great to see all of our good friends!

Aren't our little friends costumes so cute?! Elsie is a giraffe and Amelia a chicken! To be honest...I can't tell which twin that is?! Oops!

Samantha

Okay this is bad.....I have not mixed them up in a long time! I really thought this was Sadie and now all the sudden I think it might be Samantha?! I promise in real life I can always tell them apart!!!

Okay, this one I'm sure! Sam left, Sadie right

We met up with some friends at the Deanna Rose Farmstead, it is a fun little farm where you can check out the animals and if you are brave (which I am not) then you can get in and pet the animals and feed the lambs bottles etc. We will have to bring Jake along next time, he is brave!

Our Latest Adventures!!

Well, I hate to admit this but back in February Jake and I signed up to run the Kansas City 1/2 Marathon (with the hope of losing some pounds) and for some crazy reason we forgot to train for it!!!!! We are sad, but now looking back we are thinking it would have made more sense to expect us to be more disciplined with our training when we are not living out of the country and here there and everywhere! This most likely is just an excuse to make us feel better, but since we had already paid for it, we decided to atleast try to run the 5K! We are so glad we did! We had such a great time doing it together! It was a bit comical since we really weren't even able to run the entire time, but it was just so much fun to be downtown and chatting with each other along the way! It is amazing how many people show up for these events, it makes it so exciting! We are determined to keep up the tradition and try to do one together every year! And hopefully it will kick us in gear to really get working out so all the Grandmas and Grandpas and little kiddies don't pass us up next time!! Here are a few of the pictures......
Here we are at the Starting Line....Super Bright and Early!!
Jake in Action!! It was so fun, they had bands playing to pump you up along the way!
Here we are in front of the New Sprint Center, start of Mile 2!
What a Stud!!
Another fun thing the girls and I did recently was visit a cool little Dairy Farm with some of our super fun friends!! We got to taste test all of their yummy flavored milks, see how they bottle it, see baby cows, and see how they milk them! It was all very interesting! It was pretty funny though, it was just us and a whole elementary school class. The owner did part of the tour, he was a really cool guy, but the best part was while we were in checking out the baby cows he came up to us and said "You guys must really be bored today??!!" But honestly, we were thoroughly entertained! It is just fun to get out and switch up the scenery, ya know!!

Thank Goodness the tour was stroller friendly!!

Our next adventure is a bit of a re-run! I know we already posted about visiting the Louisburg Cider Mill, but we got the chance to head out there again with some friends so we couldn't resist more pumpkin pictures of the girls!!

Love this picture of Samantha's cheese! (left)

A Trip To The Louisburg Cider Mill.......

It was so much fun, a couple weeks ago Jake and I took the girls up to The Louisburg Cider Mill for the Pumpkin Fest! It is the cutest place, you can walk through and see how they press all the apples to make delicious cider and they also make really yummy cider doughnuts. For the Pumpkin Fest they had a Pancake Breakfast, which any of you that know Jake and his love of the pancake, will realize that was probably most of his motivation in going!!! We got a few cute pictures of the girls with the pumpkins, Sadie for some reason was afraid of them, which seems to be the new trend, she is really pretty apprehensive about anything new these days!!

I actually got more smiley pictures at home before we left! I am slowly realizing that no matter how long I stand there and hoop and holler and say "Cheese" I am not going to ever get a perfect shot of them both at the same time anymore!

Daddy's Girls!!

Today it rained and rained in the morning so I decided to put the girls in their adorable galoshes and raincoats, by the time we left the house it had pretty much stopped, so they were all dolled up and all we did is go to Wal-Mart!! It really does feel like playing dolls somedays!! I only wish I had as much fun getting myself dressed as I do them!!

This is a funny background for a picture, but I love it! This is in our garage, there is the tiniest little cement ledge that the girls discovered and love to sit on! I promise they do have jean skirts on under there! It looks a little questionable??!!
