August!

Look at me getting all caught up! Maybe I will even have Halloween posted in November?! These are just some highlights of things we did end of July and August!
The girls got their first purses! We went one night over to an outdoor shopping complex and they went in and picked them out, and then strutted all over the place with them!
It was ADORABLE!
Jake brought us home these flowers, Just Because!
We were all thrilled!

We took a fun trip down to Crown Center, we went to a Lego display and then outside to run through the fountains!

The girls with their cute friend Britt! Samantha is loving it!!

I guess this wasn't a fun hightlight, Poor Sadie! She got her first set of stitches! It is actually pretty comical now to think back to mine and Jake's reaction! This was our first big injury that we have dealt with as parents, and we were both a bit frantic at first! Sadie had climbed up into her booster seat up against the counter top bar and we are thinking she must have stood up and slipped and fell onto Samantha in her booster seat! All of the sudden she is hysterical and Jake runs over to comfort her, we sit her back in her chair and I look over and their is blood running down her shoulder!! She must have sideswiped the edge of the counter with her earlobe and it kind of severed it! Jake laughs at me for calling it severed, but I don't know how else to describe it! There was a big slit in her ear lobe!! So anyways off to the E.R. because of course it was at 9:00 on a Saturday night! It was kind of brutal having to watch her get the stitches! She was trying so hard to be brave! And it was adorable....Samantha started singing her songs to help her feel better! She ended up with 6 stitches, and I honestly think going to the Doctor to get them taken out was probably more traumatic for her than getting them in!!

The girls with their "boyfriend" Caleb!
We often get asked if these 3 are triplets?!

This was the girl's first parade! These are our cute friends Erika and Alyssa. They are so cute to Sadie and Samantha. And I just have to say in regard to my God Bless America comment earlier that the girls also associate Erika with God Bless America, so that is what they call her! They have just recently shortened it to America.

A fun trip down to Union Station! They have a big indoor train table!
The girls could have watched forever!

I just had to post this because if you can tell, the girls are drenched! We have a shopping complex by our house that has these big fountains, and the girls cannot help themselves! They start out just sticking their hands in it and within seconds they are soaked! They LOVE it!!

Utah Trip!

These are the zillions of pictures to highlight our time in Utah! Jake had a work trip to the University of Utah hospital in May so we went with and the girls and I stayed through most of June! Such a fun trip! We feel so lucky to get to spend so much time with our families and friends!! So consider that a warning....this is a super long post of pictures!! It was way hard deciding what to post!! (and p.s.- I am sure this is due to my infrequent posting that I still cannot figure out how to post my pictures in order!!!)
We were so lucky....Jake flew in and we met up in Vegas for our 4th Wedding Anniversary!
We decided to stay at the "Paris" Hotel to relive some of our memories from last year (in the real Paris, France)! We had such a great time! And were so lucky to have such willing babysitters!!
While we were there we went and did the Gondola ride at the Venetian Hotel!

We went to a restaraunt and ordered this Big Kahuna, it was crazy! It had an erupting volcano and everything!!

This is funny....I couldn't stand leaving Utah without going up to Bear Lake. We drove all the way up there and it was cold and windy! Oh well...atleast we attempted!

Fun with Grandpa Spence in the wagon!
An unforgettable trip to the fountains at the Gateway! Grandma Janet being a good sport and helping the girls be brave and get wet!!

Fun with Cousin Hailey!

I was lucky enough to take a quick girls trip to Santa Barbara! We went out on a whale watching tour! It was awesome!! And really windy!!

We were so happy to get to be there for my nephew Isaac's Walk for Autism!
It was such a neat experience!!
Jake and I got the chance to go on a date to the Bountiful Temple!
Fun with the Cousins!!

Baby Steps......

Okay, so any of you that might possibly still check my blog will realize that I have not posted in a REALLY REALLY LONG TIME!! So I am making an effort to start posting again, but for journaling purposes I hate to miss out on all the things that have happened since the girls birthday in February! So, I am going to start my posts from where I left off....I just want to give a warning that you might be reading about Valentine's in July! Sorry!! So here goes...I sure hope I can keep up with it this time!!

St. Patrick's Day!

We had an exceptionally warm day on St Patricks Day that we headed to the zoo! Oops...no pictures of that, but here is the bubble party we had afterwards!
Sadie left, Samantha right
I just have to make mention that Sadie had a complete and total meltdown when I put these new flip flops on her feet! (Now she asks for her shlip shlops!)

The girls got a package from Grandma Janet in the mail and had a blast with all the packing peanuts! We let them live it up!!
