BON VOYAGE!

SHOCKER!! Some of you may already know this, but Jake has been offered a position in Paris, France! For 6 Months! It is so exciting, but definetly unexpected!!

For about a month now we have been getting bits and pieces of information from the company, we are still awaiting the DEPARTURE DATE! (that sure would be nice to know!!!!) but things really have been coming together for us to feel like it is the right thing for us to do!
As of now, they are estimating he needing to be there Mid-January! Mostly it is based on how fast he can get his passport back and they are working on a special visa for him to use until his official Visa will be ready.

So, if the girls and I are in the country more than 90 days we would have to each have a visa that according to the lady helping us at Jake's Company, they would be VERY expensive!! That changed our plans quickly!

For now the plan is that the girls and I will actually be moving to UTAH to stay with family for the first 90 days, and then Jake will have to fly back to get his official Visa and the girls and I will be able to go back with Jake for the remaining 90 days! SO FUN! Other than the part where we are going to miss Jake like Crazy!! I feel like I am getting the best of both worlds! Of course, I would die to have the chance to spend 3 months in Utah, and we feel like it is a chance of a lifetime to live in Paris and have most of our expenses paid by his company!!

So.... any of you that have visited there or know anything about it, SEND ME YOUR THOUGHTS! I really haven't had a chance to research it much yet, so I would love to hear anything you know about it! And for those of you in Utah, get ready to hang out!! I am so thrilled for the chance to hang out with all of you!! And for you friends in Kansas,
We Miss You Already!

CATCHING UP!!

Finally!!! I feel like I have 5 minutes to sit and Blog!! So, I thought I would just catch up on some of the fun things that have been happening since we moved into our new house!! (I still haven't taken pictures of the inside, for those who have requested those, I promise they are coming!!)

First of all, we just have to give a big THANKS! to our parents for coming out and helping us pack and move and tend, basically just save our lives! It was so fun to have them all here, and it honestly made the whole moving process, so much more pleasant! Here are some fun pictures of their visit here!

We were so proud of ourselves for getting the kitchen put together in time to have Thanksgiving Dinner around our new table! Until now, Jake and I have had a tall round 2 person table, which worked great fiiting into our small apartments. But to have us all be able to sit together around the table, meant so much to me!! It was so fun to have family here to celebrate our first holiday in our new home!

Of course, the post Thanksgiving Dinner Naps!!

The Grandma's!

Thanks to Jake, for helping me put the Christmas Tree up on Thanksgiving evening! I hate how it seems Thanksgiving gets skipped with all the Christmas rush, I think it's perfect to get it up after Thanksgiving dinner. We were worried we'd have to play keep-a-way with the girls and the Christmas Tree, so far it hasn't been too bad.............

............. Unless we put them right in front of it!! Then we are just asking for it!

Sadie left, Samantha right

Also......The Old Man turned 32!!!! The day after Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday to Jake!!

Yea! A grill! Jake feels like a "Real Man" now that he has a full size grill, instead of our little Smoky Joe, that we've been using!

The Dad's and I got busy putting this grill together in the garage, (by the way it was freezing!)trying to keep it a surprise from Jake! But surprise, surprise! He woke up earlier than we thought! So after the Big Surprise, the Dad's and Jake continued on with the assembly in the living room! (Where they could actually feel their fingers!!)

In Jake's honor, we had a delicious Pancake Breakfast! We put candles in a Cherry Pie (his favorite!) for his Birthday cake!

And the babies, LOVED THE WRAPPING PAPER! I think they have just had a preview of Wrapping Paper Heaven, to come in just .... 16 more days!
